What 2hour.fun is, why new coins only launch in one 2-hour window a day, and how trading carries on around the clock.

2hour.fun opens soon. These guides explain how everything works once we're open.

2hour.fun is a place to create and trade new coins (often called memecoins) on two blockchains: Robinhood Chain and Solana. Both work the same way, with the same rules, on the same site.

The daily 2-hour launch window

Anyone can trade any coin at any time - trading never stops. What's limited is creating new coins: that can only happen during one 2-hour window each day. Once 2hour.fun opens, the countdown in the top bar shows when the window next opens and closes.

Trading is open around the clock. New coins can only launch inside the daily window, 21:00 to 23:00 UTC. The countdown in the top bar always shows the live times.

Why have a window at all? A few reasons:

  • Launches are grouped together, so each new coin gets a fair share of attention instead of being lost in a non-stop stream.
  • Fewer launches a day, each with a real launch fee, makes low-effort copies of other people's coins less attractive.
  • It's calmer for newcomers: there's a clear time when new coins appear.
Good to know
Once we're open, creators can also reserve a launch while the window is closed. Their coin shows on the Upcoming page before it goes live.

What you can do here

  • Explore coins - newest, hot and graduated - on both chains, or use the Trade page for live columns.
  • Buy and sell coins from a coin's page, or with quick buy on Explore and Trade. See Buying & selling.
  • Check a coin with its safety badges and holder tags. See Safety badges.
  • Create your own coin during the window. See Launching a coin.
  • Join in: post notes, follow traders, earn badges and climb the leaderboards.

Your first few minutes

  1. Sign in. You can use email or a social account, or connect a wallet such as Rabby, MetaMask or Phantom. A trading wallet is set up for you automatically - see Your wallet. The first time, you agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy and confirm you're not in a country where using 2hour.fun is restricted - just once, signed by your trading wallet with no gas and no transaction.
  2. Add funds. Open the wallet menu and choose Add funds. The coin you need is ETH on Robinhood Chain or SOL on Solana.
  3. Look around once we open. Open a coin, read its badges and chart, and get a feel for how things move before you trade.
  4. Make a small first buy once coins are live. On a coin's page, tap Buy, enter an amount and check the estimate before you confirm. Then sell it the same way from Your position. See Buying & selling.
  5. Try the Trade page when it opens. Once you know your way around, Trade is the faster view regulars use: New, Soon and Graduated coins side by side as live columns.
  6. Keep learning. The Glossary explains the words you'll see.
Be careful
New coins are very risky. Their prices can move a lot in seconds and many go to zero. Nothing on 2hour.fun is a recommendation to buy or sell anything.

Your wallet, your keys

We never hold your keys. Every trade is a transaction signed by your own wallet, and your coins sit in that wallet, not with us. That also means nobody here can reverse a trade or recover funds sent to the wrong place.
